Just watched the DVD for the first time in a while last night...

How perfect is this scene? Just Ed, his guitar, and a empty open-air arena. Such a heartbreakingly beautiful song, it brought tears to my eyes watching it and is giving me goosebumps just writing this.

Anyway, just felt like I needed to say it...

    these are the posts that i enjoy the most
    when people point out the little things that really hit them in a special way

    i bought that DVD and took a year to watch it. i can't explain why. sometimes i just can't open it and play it. when i did, it blew me away. immortality (immor-fuckin-tality as it's often referred to) is the best part of the dvd. i play it with the picture and without the picture, i play it for my kids, i love it so much.

    speaking of dvd small highlights:

    touring band - eddies "yeaaaaahhh" during Long Road with his hair blowing in the wind
    touring band - "it's ok"

    these three small moments give me chills, make my eyes water....

    that moment from Long Road is my favourite part of the DVD, along with Eddie's drunken yelp at the beginning of Do The Evolution. He's so wasted.

    I agree...that laugh is priceless because you can see he is holding it back as much as possible too.

    awesome. this is the first song i learned by watching and listening. i still mess around with it everytime i pick up a guitar. love the intro part. still haven't perfected it :)

    He did. I listened to it outside the venue, along with the 11 or so songs the band soundchecked through the PA. I would love a recording of the entire song also.
