To all those who will be traveling to Calgary for Saturday shows,..it will be a very wet week here, and may be wet on Saturday night,..of course I hope this weather is gone by then. Just a heads up to bring good mud footwear,..could be a messy one.
Praying that the concert gods are on our side for the big show,.

........rain or shine, I can't wait !!!!

  • I hope the concert gods are on our side too!! I hope we don't have the same thing happen that happened up in Camrose. Very scary and sad.

very sad,............that storm hit like a freight train.

I was reading an article how some people were complaining that the show didn't go on...uhm somebody died and you were lucky more people didn't. I can't imagine how scary that must have been. I heard it was crazy and Environment Canada said it wasn't a tornado, the damage was crazy. I hope we all stay safe.
  • I live in Louisville Kentucky, and my entire sunroom was flooded 3 inches deep.

According to the weather channel we received 8 inches of rain in an hour and a half; that's nuts.

I was listening to the radio this morning; one of the dj's was there. Sounds like the people in the side stage seating were trapped, a few roadies came down with the lighting rigs, and the girl that was killed was hit by a sound tower...crazy scary stuff :( They said the wind preceded the storm...you could see the storm coming, but the wind hit first....they said it went from calm to insane wind instantly...100km/h + gusts...There was a lot of damage around Edmonton too.

ya, the forecasts don't look good...but they say light rain...and it's the last day for this system...showing Sunday as sunny...so hopefully it blows thru quicker than expected. It's alberta....I'm not going to get concerned until the day before - that forecast could change a lot over the week.

    How scary. :(

I hope it is just light rain but as you could say that could easily change. Ideal would be slightly cool and no rain.I guess I will have to Saran Wrap my arm :?

holy shit,... lucky there's no PJ show there tonight !! :P :P
  • Well as long as we do not have 107 km/hr winds that were up in NW Calgary this past Sunday I think all should be well.

Looked at the extended forecast and now they are calling for sun this Saturday with a high of 20 deg. C.

As previously mentioned in this post I will take the weather forecast seriously come Friday evening...but man the way it has been the last few days that place is going to be muddy!
  • its gonna suck for the 20 people that bought tickets to this festival
i have a paper here that entitles me to fast track status

Sunny day today too,....should dry the ground out,....may not be too muddy.
Don't give a shit now anyway,..should be a great day.
    I can't wait.

Are people going early to check out the other bands? or just getting there for Wintersleep and PJ ?

I don't care about the other bands, but I'll still be getting there early. Last year it was dead easy getting to the front for STP and the Hip; I don't know if Pearl Jam will be different (I'm assuming yes), but I don't see myself getting there much later than 1 or 1:30. I'll wait this one out.
