I got another email from Superpages.com Center yesterday (formerly Smirnoff) about season tix. Again, it listed Pearl Jam in the upcoming shows for 2008. I responded and asked for the date of the PJ show and they said "the show is pending for 9/25"....the Thursday before Austin City Limits....hmmmmm.....
Louisville - 3/24/94, Austin - 9/16/95, Dallas - 7/5/98, Nashville - 8/17/00, Dallas - 10/17/00, San Antonio - 4/5/03, Dallas - 6/9/03, Camden - 7/5/03, The Gorge I - 7/22/06, The Gorge II - 7/23/06, Los Angeles I (EV) 4/12/08, Los Angeles II (EV) - 4/13/08...

That could end up happening, but with no confirmation of dates from SLH or 10c, its all just dust in the wind...(or tumbleweeds in TX)
I met my wife here...you can too! Don't lose hope!

    I appreciate your updates. Thanks

  • i think i speak for everyone in dallas when i saw ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i imagine it all hinges on them confirming for ACL, which seems VERY likely if they have "pending" dates in place around it already

and like with every festival, if/when they are announced on ACL then they'll have to wait a bit to announce the dates around it, to make sure the supporting dates dont conflict with ticket sales of ACL

    either way..BRING IT!!!

Thanks for the news. Likely won't impact me but there are a lot of people in Texas who really deserve a show ... hopefully this happens!

I think this is a really great sentiment. There's so much bitching around here, and it's refreshing to see someone who would be happy for other PJ fans if they get a show in their area.

yes, thank you Beer Baron. It is nice to know people are with us in hopes for these shows to happen. It's been 5 years since a Texas show.

The ACL lineup is supposed to be announced next week. We will know soon. Neil Young, MMJ and Jack Johnson have already been confirmed according to -> http://aclfest2008rumors.blogspot.com/

It has been 13 long years since a show in Austin. This would be nice.

Yeah...can't see them all happening. I really hope it's PJ, but I kinda think if they stick to the theme of the last couple of years (Tom Petty and Bob Dylan), that Neil Young will be the Sunday closer. We'll find out in 10 days!

Also, i would think PJ would usually do a Tweet for something like this, right? if that's the case, then we should know if something is up by next week.

It is or was 10 days from April 5th, he's talking about the ACL Fest lineup that will be announced on 4/15/2008.

All could easily headline, which is way too many for a 3 day festival...

PJ, JJ, DMB, Neil Young, and STP

Trust me, I hope that I'm wrong and this is the true line-up, but I seriously doubt that it is. Remember how many fake Bonnaroo line-ups we had?

And Jack is headlining a few other festivals in the States this year, if he was at ACL, why wouldn't he headline?

Because if he's on a festival bill with those other headliners, odds are he would not headline. Over here KOL are headling Glasto but not any other festivals they're at. I think JJ would have to stand down for PJ, DMB and Neil Young at the least if not STP as well.

The thought never even crossed my mind that MMJ would be a headliner, but DMB or STP would. It just doesn't add up- but AGAIN, I hope that I'm wrong. If I have any cash left over after Roo, I plan to attend

Yeah, it looks like that was an April Fool's posting. Don't get me wrong, I hope this is true, because if it is I'm going come hell or high water. I would if PJ and STP were on the bill- DMB and NY would be icing on the cake.

STP is not happening. I know that for sure. The DMB and STP rumors were an April Fools joke. However, MMJ and Neil Young are supposedly confirmed. April 15th is the day.
