Ted Leo was not very impressive the four times I saw them last year. The Toronto drive will be worth it for PJ.
I would have preferred My Morning Jacket. At least my poster is locked down. Driving 9 hours from NJ. See you there.

Thank god we got Ben Harper

you've ever given BR a try? I know you are super young, and they are old school but they are AWESOME!!!! I couldn't be happier about this opener, I wish I was going to both Chicago shows rather than just the first night

Bad Religion is okay but I really like Ben Harper ;)
    Shows:
    Seattle Key Arena 9-21-2009
    Seattle Key Arena 9-22-2009
  • BAD RELIGION!!!!!!!!!!

HOLY SHIT THIS IS GOING TO BE THE BEST PJ SHOW EVER .
I was just thinking a few weeks ago how cool it would be to see Bad Religion cos Iv'e never seen them before and now this. Oh man thank you who ever put this togeather. OMG this is going to be SICK. :D
  • I can't think of many other bands that I'd rather have open for Pearl Jam than Bad Religion and TL+Rx. I wish that I were attending any of these shows. I feel like bringing back TL+Rx is a big vote of confidence in them in spite of some fan's seeming disinterest/distaste for them. The reunion with Bad Religion is also great, as the initial run of Vitalogy dates with Bad Religion were postponed after the San Francisco date. The Las Cruces show of that tour would have been my first concert of any kind. I have no complaints, as the date was rescheduled and the Ramones opened. Perhaps Ed will join Bad Religion for, "Kerosene."

Pearl Jam announces Ted Leo + the Pharmacists and Bad Religion as support for North American dates.

Ted Leo + the Pharmacists to open the August 21 Toronto show at the Molson Amphitheatre. Supporting Pearl Jam for both United Center shows in Chicago on August 23 and 24 will be Bad Religion.

This is great. I get Bad Religion and Relentless7 for the shows I'm attending. Couldn't think of any better openers than those bands!

  • WHO THE HELL IS TED LEO AND THE PHARMACISTS?????? There has to be at least 50 other definitely decent bands in the TO area that week (Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Breeders, Social Distortion just to name a few), and they go with these guys. Why not have Eddie open up acoustically. Chicago gets BR and we get Ted Leo, this is so unfair.
  • I nearly crapped my pants in excitement that my favourite punk band (Bad Religion) was opening for my favourite all time band!... and then I read the fine print and saw they are not opening for PJ in Toronto (the only show I am able to attend this year)

I dislike Ted Leo and the Pharmacists

Got all excited fer nuthin :(

Why not bring back Liam Fynn? (Flynn?) He was FANTASTIC!
