A bit rushed you think?

Is it just me or do you think this Australian tour feels like a last minute decision. I remember the 06 tour, the tickets were out in MAy if I am right for a November concert.
Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift, thats why its called The Present.

i think all the shows this year were put together for the album release...and since that is in sept they didn't want to start a full blow world tour...they started out with some euro dates and then toronto and chicago...all large cities that are easy to travel....they decided on some west coast dates because they didn't do it last year when they toured the east....philly for obvious reasons...and aus/nz because ed wants to surf ;)

i predict a full us/europe and a return down under next year :ugeek:

or i'm talking out my ass....you be the judge :mrgreen:
  • I hope you are right about the return next year but I think you might be off the mark

Just meant I doubt it was rushed. I think they have been planning this properly for a while.

Announcing it with 4 months to go or 6 months as was the case in 06 is of no consequence.

Not rushed, just timed differently. Perhaps it took longer to lock down all the dates this time, or perhaps they just like to let us sweat it out. :D
  • Just feels really quick. Maybe I am a bit bitter about these pre pre ticket sales before the 10c tickets are released and the prospect of GA, no seats. I was really looking forward to Brisbane Entertainment Centre again. I might have to look at swapping GA for good stadium seats.

This is the first thing I thought when I saw that there were 2-3 days in between all the concerts. It's more like an Eddie vacation with a few work days thrown in
    2006- Boston I
    2008- Boston I+II
    2009- Toronto, Philly III+IV
    2010- Bristow, Hartford, Boston, Newark

Exactly. But thank Goodness for that. We can always count on some West Coast love, simply for the love of surfing.

We all wish there would be more notice, but unfortunately this is the way its been for a while.
When i got my Maui tix in 98 it was many, many months before, plenty of time to plan and make it a reality (in the beginning it was kind of a lark and my friend's idea, tix were only $30 each) But as soon as those tix were in my hands, there was NO way i was wasnt going.

the 2010 is 'rushed' and only a mini tour before the real thing next year. PJ obviously wanted to cram as many shows and countries into the late Summer/fall (spring for Australia) as possible.
I'm just flying around the other side of the world to say I love you

Real thing? Isn't this the real thing for Australia and NZ this year - your saying they will likely to return there in 2010?

most likely not but they are trying to play as many shows late this year as possible. I'm an Aussie ex-pat and have seen many PJ aussie shows. I would prefer a stadium tour just one time to see what it's like. The fact is it will be a great show full stop.
