SBE Ticketweb question?

Sorry to start a new thread, but.........

I ordered my tickets through Ticketweb and chose to have them delivered as opposed to picking them up at the box office, but when I check the order status online under the delivery section it says 'Box Office Collection'. The confirmation email says they will be posted out, so I'm a tad confused - it doesn't take much! Anyway, I was just wondering if anyone else had noticed the same thing? It says on Ticketweb's site not to contact them about ticket orders until 48 hours before the show, but I have no idea if they're being posted or not. Is it a possibility that all of their tickets were box office collection only, I suppose there isn't that long til the gig.

Call them face. The 48 hours is if you didn't receive your tix - even then. This is just a clarification you need.... They can tell you if your tickets have been printed and if they are being posted or not.

Yeah that would probably be best, I was just wondering if anyone else had the same thing, and kind of wanted to make people aware that it might be worth checking their confirmations too.

Call me paranoid, but I keep having a nightmare that I phone them up and they tell me they have no record of my booking!

I don't know with Ticketweb but hmv says the tickets are being dealt with by someone else (Keith Prowse) and our confirmation say to contact them not hmv.
So are we strangers now? Like rock and roll and the radio?

It's weird because I know I definitely chose to have them delivered, and at first when I checked the order status it said they would be posted, but now it's changed. Plus in my confirmation email there are no instructions on what I should do to pick them up. Their customer services department isn't open now so I'll have to wait until tomorrow, I've sent them an email too.
  • Exact same thing happened to me. I phoned up the customer services (it's operated by Ticketmaster, who own Ticketweb - phone the 0161 number listed on the website) and the very helpful guy at the other end changed it back to UK Post. Wondering if they're going to force all people to pick tickets up, which will be a pain in the ass...

sounds familiar... i may or may not be getting one from Seatwave... ticket shows up as 'awaiting dispatch' which i assume means the cnut who bought it can't send it to me until they have it.... eeeeek!! ;)
Oh yeah? Well, I've had about enough of morons and halfwits, dolts, dunces, dullards and dumbbells - and you chowderhead yokel, you blithering hayseed, you - you've had enough of me?

Was there the option of E-tickets from ticketweb? The ones I've now bought (after not knowing what to do all week) are e-tickets so I'm shitting myself now. I always knew it was a risk but I think this pretty much proves I've lost my money

I think there was that option. I guess you need to look out for the same person trying to sell the tickets elsewhere online, and make sure you get to the gig early, so if they have sent it out multiple times, you are the first person in!

Ordered mine from HMV and haven't received them yet. They reckon it could take up to 2 weeks from ordering-which will be tomorrow. Shall be phoning them tomorrow if I haven't received them.

  • I rang the number on my HMV confirmation email on Friday to see where the tickets were. The lady at the other end of the phone just said they have not been sent out and if I don't get them on Friday then give them a call.

Ok just spoke to a very nice lady from Ticketweb, she said that sometimes if the tickets are particularly valuable or there isn't much time until the gig to get tickets out they will sometimes choose to make them box office pick up only. She said she could try to put a request for delivery in, but she would highly recommend leaving them for box office pick up due to their value.

So like I said before, people might want to double check their bookings just to make sure they know what's going on. I have no idea if some tickets will be sent out - I know I definitely chose to have them posted, which was confirmed in the email they sent, but somehow it has been changed along the way. Either way I can sleep easy now! Phew!

What number did you use to call ticketweb? I've been looking for one but can't seem to find a customer services number??

well, considering there's only a week left , I think she's right especially with the postal service strikes.
and as they don't send them recorded and they're GA (even the seating is GA) you would have no recourse if they sent it but you haven't received them in time.

I'm currently waiting for someone from Keith Prowse to call me back. Said that tickets haven't been sent out and she will need to talk to dispatch.

At least the HMV ones should be sent registered post.

EDIT: Just got the call back. There was a delay with the tickets arriving from the supplier. They were received today so they will be going in the post today/tomorrow and we should have them by Thursday at the latest.

I'm not sure. You may want to give them a call. Myself and redrock are getting tickets from HMV.

  • Hmm

I'll ring them tomorrow. I haven't had the problem that others have had by the way, I clicked that I wanted them posted and my order status says that they will be posted.
