Australian Shows .. Crowd Situation

Hey all,
Wondering if anyone can shed any light on this ...
Last time PJ played here in Australia all the shows were seated, even when they played in Perth, at an outdoor football stadium it was still all sit down.
I always thought this was the way in the wake of Rockskilde.
Anyway, this time around they are only playing outdoor stadium shows in Australia. Does this mean it will more than likely be general admission and it is every man for himself? It says there are gold and silver tickets available, but I will getting mine through the 10C anyway ... but surely there is going to be some sort of perk for fan club members. I don't want to be another pleb in the crowd who has to fight to the front.
Any details / information would be good.
Rock.

only GA shows i have been to were San Fran 06, but they went GA after 10C ticket sales, so they let us in 15 mins before the ticketmaster folks, still those were some long waits in line, and will wait even longer in oz if they are GA :D

Jeez people like jumping to conclusions.

So it appears there may be a GA section.

That's all the info anyone has at the moment.

    - You could get a special 10c-only golden circle (unlikely due to logisitics)
    - You could get early entry, into a golden circle, with the front of the public queue to make up for the remainder of the GC
    - You could get into a golden circle, minus the early entry, mixed in with the front of the public queue
    - You could get early entry, before the rest of the GA holders come into a free-for-all
    - It could be a genuine free-for-all

Can't see the last one happening, considering security issues. Ditto the 2nd last.

Mate I hope to be in front of you, It will be the only time this year the tigers will get in front of most teams
  • I dunno...but all this talk of a golden circle is getting me excited

I hold true to my belief that they will structure it similar to the QSAC arrangement for AC/DC. I also think that 10C will get into the front section(s) with the front of the GA "commoners" filling the rest of the spots.

Sounds fair and just to me.

if it is anything like europe, then it will be a 15 min early entry for GA
GA is not as bad as people make it out to be, could get a little rough and pushy, but the setup will be safe, i would assume a t-barrier so get in the front corner 8-)

and as a union fan, i do not want to be surrounded by loutish league fans... bogans, the lot of ya :o:lol:

of course you can drop the leash, and zenith dont get me started as there is no point u being in front of me if you are a wolfman fan as all you will do is drop the pick when it is thrown to you, just like wolfy in origin. Oh and go the tigers 2morrow nite.

  • HERE HERE! You bloody THROW BALL bogans!

Why would you wanna get in the corner? Or are you talking about the corner of a D, which would mean the middle of the stage? I'm confusing myself....

    Ahhh...speculation is great.
  • Can I retract my aforementioned statement in light of unforgiven's kindness and generosity of being my GA bouncer? hehe

I find most of my time at ga concert is being someones bouncer, My wife likes the front row at concerts and has even managed to last metallica and dropkick muphies concert in the front row with me as a bouncer. My best mate is about 5'6 and weights in at 64kg so also calls on me for those duties at gigs so i end up looking after both of them, so wat is 1 more, i usually end up helping some other smaller people neway.
