why are the aussie and NZ tickets more expansive?

i'm not complaining...just curious as to why?...i don't know if the prices listed were in Australia dollars or not, but even if it is, 123 is 103 in America...why are they so expensive?
the two reasons i can think of is trips to Australia is really expensive and it's what the band is going to need in order to feasibly make the trip...and that it's just supply and demand...there is obviously a larger demand for pearl jam in Australia so they raise the price as a result...but that last one isn't very PJ-like so i'm assuming it's the first one...anyone else have a better reason?

$124 AUD = $103 USD
$120 NZD = $80 US
prices on Aus tickets are only up $8 australian in 3 years, which is a real surprise
I wave to all my Friends... Yeah!
so price wise, would the travel package deal 10c is proposing be worth the money? for an american...
i paid $150 got Gold Neil Young, and $200 for 6th row at the Who
Ben harper played a 1200 person venue here in april and it was $60

it would be in USD and seeing those package prices in Europe a few years ago, they were VERY expensive
