Help! Rotterdam & Berlin

So... I just suddenly got the opportunity to go to Rotterdam and Berlin. I wasn't expecting this... so I'm completely unprepared. I am 35f, traveling from San Diego, and will basically be there alone (mom doesn't count). I don't have tickets for the shows.

Any kind of help would be appreciated.

1) Tickets! Obviously... if anyone has a spare please let me know! But.. also... is Rotterdam sold out? Based on my internet research, Berlin seems really, really sold out. Besides pleading on the boards here, how could I try to get tickets? Do I go to the box office? Do I stand outside the venue? I can figure it out in the U.S. but I have no idea how to approach it in Europe. Any tips or advice would be very appreciated!

2) Are there meet ups for these shows?

3) How about the venues? are they easy to find? close to central areas?

4) I will be staying in Amsterdam for a couple days, should I stay over in Rotterdam on the 13th or go back to Amsterdam late? Is the train the best way to get to Berlin? Flights look pretty expensive right now. Should I take the train from Rotterdam (if I stay over) or Amsterdam?

Any other tips/ideas would be cool too. I'm incredibly unprepared. thanks!!!

Well, Rotterdam was an instant soldout as well - just like the other 3 proper shows in Europe.

I figured Rotterdam was probably sold out too... I just noticed that the prices on the broker sites were a lot lower than Berlin. So I thought it wouldn't hurt to ask.

Anyone? Even general tips from people who have been to European shows before. General advice?

Will they release tickets day of show? Does hanging around the box office work? Extras, anyone? Pretty please... ;) The only thing I have to offer is maybe Chicago or Philly if someone is heading out there too...

Oh, and what's the face value of these tickets?

    pm'd sliver.

Anyone else? Someone must have advice/ideas at least? :?
  • Based on the experiences from the last Berlin gig, there were tons of tickets offered in front of the arena, for less than face.
I would not worry if you won't get a ticket now, you should get one there without a problem.

    As for Rotterdam, no idea.

The public service in Berlin is very good, but the venue is not in the city centre ... allow some extra time.

In the Given To Fly forum is another thread about the Berlin show ... there you can find some info about the venue, the public transportation, hotel, pre- & after-parties and so on. ;)

Hmm... Might? Sounds like the break up is maybe not so final. ;)
Let me know if you really do have that extra! :)

Maybe not final, hopefully, but i´ll be in Berlin and she won´t  .

So the ticket is yours if you want it. Let me know if u want it.
  • Hi, I happen to have two tickets for Rotterdam, but since they are 10 c tickets, there might be no way for me to transfer them. If there's a way, I would love to help you out. I can't go myself, so i tried to email 10 c to see if there's any chance of getting rid of the tickets. Would you still be interested? I'll see what I can do...
Berlin should be no problem. There are many tickets on sale by scalpers.
As the other girl said, it is not in the center of the city, plus we have problems with public transportation at the moment, but it's easy to get there. Do you have a ticket for Berlin now?

    Have a great day!
