In 2009, thousands of teachers were laid off due to budget cuts, including Jimmy Bui who won teacher of the year for Anaheim. Hopefully, with the help of the new president, education will no longer take a back seat in American society.

    Great job at putting together that video. My wife is a teacher and I think it's a shame the way that funding for public education has gone down the toilet. Hopefully things will improve before they hit rock bottom.
