they beat their record deal (almost unheard of in the biz)
they still produce great quality work..
they market in creative ways..
they still tour..

best band in the world..

    And what a name... Pearl Jam. Maybe it's because I know the music they've made over the years, but I feel like the name conveys a sort of epic quality the band has about them.

    I agree with this. It's like how Rage Against The Machine truly sounds like "Rage Against The Machine."

    I really can't believe they've put out 9 albums... I mean I can, but it seems like so long ago that I was an 8 year old on Christmas morning opening up a shoe box of cassette tapes and finding Ten in that box and wearing it out until I bought it on CD years later.
