Hello all!
Since my fellow PJ fans are such awesome judges of music, I am here asking for your help.
I have been writing songs for a few years now and really need some feedback because was always kinda shy and nervous about putting things out in front of people. I dont like being in front of crowds or pretty much being looked at, so being in a band is kinda ironic...I have a few fears to overcome before seeing if we can ever get gigs or play out.

So I have some of my bands tunes on facebook, but i only have about 32 fans and they dont really provide me with much feedback because I think they are worried that we were friends first. So I would love some honest opinions if you have the time. And if you like it, become a fan on facebook!
thanks!!!
~Jon

Thanks man. I play guitar and try to sing. I lost my drummer though, so i am recording some new stuff at home and adding drums myself until i find someone. I have only played two parties so far. we havent done gigs because it was just me and a drummer and we were looking for a bass guitarist. Then my drummer left, and now I have a second guitar and a bass, but no drummer! I just cant seem to coordinate with people lately. but i feel like it will be falling together soon.
I listened to some of your tunes, and I like that last live track the best out of the solo stuff. The first two with band are good -- do you play all instruments on those? I really liked the drums on the 1st track (and the guitar was cool too. when you switched sounds on the guitar on the 1st song, I was kinda hoping the original sound would continue on as well -- w two guitar, but i know that's hard without loops if you're the only guitarist.)

Nice cover of Garden, Ilike how you kinda made it your own.
and PS, I see you dig Eek-a-mouse! I have never met anyone else who knew about them. I was listening to Wa-do-dem just the other day.

that 'girls on surfboard' tune has a catchy riff to it! like it! in listening to it the first time, i was wondering why the pause in between the verse and chorus...it is brief, but i was ready to jump in and sing and then was thrown off by the timing of the chorus...i wouldn't skip and beat the throw the chorus immediately in there - it's an exclamation of the first verse and brings it around full circle to the beginning chords of the tune. again, this is minor, and i dig the tune!! thanks for sharing and good luck!
(btw, i only listen, i cant play, so take it for what it's worth!)

I love to turn you on

Thanks Steve Dunne, I really appreciate it! I had a better version of that song up in the music player, but i deleted it to add the one with the video. My Drummer sang the line "Girls on Surfboards", and you can tell he's out of breath the whole way through because that was from a live version!
thanks for your input, i'll try it that way that you suggest and see how it sounds.
