they are rarely non-stop, unless you're travelling a very short distance--you'll usually get the least desirable flight times w/ crappy layovers.
Need a tour Travel Agent??? Pick me :-)

yeah--unless you really couldn't care less when you come and go, it's definitely worth it to pay a little more. Not to mention the fact that if you have any problems, you're basically screwed bc Priceline won't help fix anything...

If there are any cancellations or flight changes, if you miss a flight or connection....things like that. Priceline just isn't user-friendly for those things...you're better off dealing with a Travel Agent (me, for a fee!!!) or thru the airline directly.

haha! yeah, right. you'd probably screw up my reservation on purpose then not answer my calls.

hey, Pearljgirl.... would have have an idea of a good carribean vacation for a week from after christmas to like january 2nd? I have a monster group who wants to go somewhere and prices seem very high for that week.
the problem is we have a lot of people who want to go, and the higher the price, more and more people will be excluded.

Just used Priceline to book a hotel today.... got a good deal but I don't think I could ever use them for flights for all the reasons listed above. That said, this being the first time using them for a hotel was a bit of a pain but well worth it especially since I booked a 3 star (highest available in the area) for less than half price.

I think Priceline is best for cars, then hotels. I mean, when it comes down to it, a car is a car is a car. Hotels are usually good deals too, as long as you don't care about being surprised as to which brand...

I'm a priceline fan big time. Have had some incredibly cheap 4* hotels and never been let down. Alot of times, if I have an early morning flight, I'll get a airport hotel for cheap and have a friend drive me the night before, for me it's cheaper than a cab or car service. Rental cars are great with them too if you're not picky about what kinda vehicle you get. I'd agree with the poster above and airfare I wouldn't do again. You'll get either the first or last flights of the day with wacky connections (Boston to Atlanta via St. Louis for me once). So yay for Hotels and rental cars, boo for airlines.

Never been disappointed with Priceline for hotel but wouldn't use it for airfare due to work/travel constraints.

priceline is great for hotels, used it many times...but no way would i use it for flights, for all the reasons already mentioned. just try cheapair.com. i've gotten excellent prices and flights thru them, and yes, you choose what flight you want, and you can see the varying prices, etc.

yeah, i already found a great deal on airfare, i was just trying to do better and put some of the $ i would potentially save toward my hotel room, but it just doesn't seem worth it.
