I LOVE new Pearl Jam.. but maybe their new stuff hasn't been quite as groundbreaking as their earlier stuff. Its still awesome, but maybe a little edge has been lost.. I'm not trying to downplay them, I still listen to Avocado to death, but..

I find it hard to believe a decade or two past the physical prime of the human life can stop a band from sounding fresh, ground breaking and amazing. This seems to happen with most bands, but fortunately for us, Pearl Jam are not most bands..

Here's to hoping the new album kicks everyone's ass!

for some reason (and i didn't think this with their last 2 records for whatever reason), i think this album is going to be amazing. i have that feeling in my stomach like i did when Vs came out & my older brother drove me to buy it at midnight. i dunno...just have a good feeling about this one. (and for the record, i do like the last 2 records)

The Avocado album was "Earth Shatteringly good" for me. Gave me new life, but so did Riot Act, Binaural, Yield, No Code, etc...
