I'm hoping to hit up a few record stores while in Chicago for the shows.. Don't want to venture too far away from Downtown/Wrigleyville.. any suggestions..?

Thanks!

Reckless Records. Their Lakeview location is at 3126 N. Broadway
in Lakeview. They also have locations in the loop and wicker park. Their website is at www.reckless.com. Hope this helps!

The Quaker Goes Deaf is apparently a cool store, I have a t-shirt that my cousin got me that lives there, sweet shirt, I'm sure its a cool store, don't know the location tho...
I met my wife here...you can too! Don't lose hope!

Just walk up and down clark street and broadway (there right next to each other, both running north to south) both of these streets have many solid record stores. Reckless is great, but there are a lot of good ones on clark street. I suggest starting in Wriglyville and taking clark street south to fullerton. On that walk you'll hit like 5 or so good shops. On the way back take broadway and you'll hit 5 or so more including reckless...
Further back and forth a wave will break on me, today...

I would check out Permanent Records on Chicago and Damen Ave!

Also, Groovin High Records on Belmont and Sheffield! They usally carry the Avocado Record from PJ on Vinyl!!!

not record stores, but id recommend checking out "strange cargo" and "flashy trash" on the north side if youre into ed's wardrobe, vintage stuff, etc... i've heard he frequents those when hes in town so you might run into him too :)

and reckless is definitely a cool place to check out... they have a great inventory between their 3 locations
