Chicago Out-of-Towners (Edit)

Hey guys,

Per request from great poster "benjs"...a thread is being started to garner interest from the people whom are heading to chicago that would also like to experience the culture and hotspots of chicago. If there's anyone who fits the bill and is also a great organizer can prolly help plan a meet & greet, some sight-seeing adventures, eat chicago style food, pearl jam after parties etc etc etc

Also, we can consolidate all the ideas from the "chicago hotspots thread" into one post maybe and feel free to offer any more suggestions!

    Thanks for taking care of this - the only reason I'm not is 'cuz I know I'm slacking on my other three babies (threads).. here are some things that people have suggested:
    Locations:
    Magnificent Mile - strip where many hotels and great shopping lays
    John Hancock Centre - just like the Sears Tower, but slightly shorter, and about $10 cheaper to go up. I've been recommended to have a $5 pint in the bar on the 95th floor rather than pay the $15 to get to the top.
    Art Institute of Chicago - relatively self-explanatory, apparently a beautiful gallery
    Navy Pier - a relatively touristy area overlooking Lake Michigan
    Millenium Park - home to a large coffee bean (correct me if I'm wrong) shaped structure, that often people like to have themselves photographed sitting in

    I left my food notes at home, but I'll add those here too later.

    I will be arriving from DC on Sunday early afternoon to Tuesday so anytime between is good with me

    dude this is goin to be so bad ass! i'm excited! i got 4 nights in chicago, 2 pj shows, bears and cubs game,...hit up the cool food and the tourist attractions! wooo!

    sure beats the hell out of graceland for me! ha
