Milano 2006 - Looking back

I've been thinking about this show a lot recently, remembering how I felt throughout the show. This has got to be one of the greatest crowds ever for a Pearl Jam show. Being there, I remember just how frickin' LOUD the crowd was.
I was hoping for something slow to open the show because Of The Girl opened the show in 2000 and it sets a lovely mood when listening to the bootleg. But no, the band comes out and rips straight into Go and it just blows my head off. I couldn't believe how loud the crowd was singing the chorus, even though you can't hear it on the bootleg. I got goosebumps instantly, just couldn't believe it.
But that was just the start. Heard Last Exit for the first time out of the shows I'd been to and it rocked. Corduroy was faster and more intense, the crowd clapping and stomping during the guitar intro.
Then, to my pleasant surprise they threw in Man of the Hour mid-set and the crowd was almost silent. A beautiful moment in an otherwise loud and intense show.
Then, perhaps my favourite ever Pearl Jam moment - DAUGHTER! It's now three years later and I STILL haven't heard a better/louder crowd singing Daughter than this one. From the opening chords the crowd went apeshit and sang every single word. We started singing a tag and Ed followed us, it was insane. Then we followed him, singing back and forth with him. The applause when he sang 'President Bush, leave this world alone' was mindblowing.
Black was another performance for the ages, everyone completely taking over again. I remember getting choked up after the song ended hen we carried on singing and clapping while the band looked on. Then they gave us a round of applause. Just incredible.
I won't keep rambling, but this was quite possibly the greatest show I've ever seen from a band. Here are the pictures my girlfriend took, we were front row just off to the side.
