    I am completely obsessed with this album right now...i NEED to see them live and what better way to start a Pearl jam concert

    the dead weather is playing right before pearl jam on the same stage at austin city limits this year. can't wait.

    Yep I'll be camping out at that stage FOR SURE. 8-) I would love for them to open at the Spectrum...

    Michael I agree 100%... Great band and ANYTHING Jack White puts out is pretty great!

    I'd be very happy with this. But I feel like there will be no openers, which could mean longer sets.

    that would be cool, i wouldn't complain about a band with jack white....

    if i could choose though, i'd like to see them get my morning jacket again for such a special event. mmj isn't really doing much right now, but i do know that jim james will be in philly for the nov. 9th monsters of folk tour, not sure what is before that and if this could work, but that would be phenomenal.

    and as someone else mentioned, no opener, longer set, that would be great too.

    generally speaking the 'evenings with pearl jam' in the past haven't necessarily meant that the shows are longer but just that the start time is earlier. For example the 2006 Gorge shows were exclusively PJ shows. The shows were pretty long but nothing longer than anything else that year.

    That would be awesome but I have heard that MMJ are on an extensive break and focusing on side projects (a tribute to.. Monsters of Folk etc etc). It won't happen but one can only dream.

    Oh man that would be sweet...
    Seen 'em twice already. Last month they did a secret show in Toronto at the Horeshoe Tavern and they also played last week at the Kool Haus (read my sort-of show review at stopgaplegacy.blogspot.com)

    They're great live and have an excellent record.

    I second this...would love to see them open if no 'Evening with' happens...but Jack doesn't like Philly for some odd reason...

    It would great, but it would never happen.

    I know Eddie and Mike have said in the past that they like the White Stripes, but unfortunately, I don't think the respect is mutual.

    I remember somone pointing me to an interview where Jack made a comment or something to the effect about how he thought that "Pearl Jam ruined music".

    Obviously a pretty stupid comment on Jack's part, but one that certainly indicates that He won't be sharing a stage with our boys anytime soon.

    Whenever I read something like this, I always am immediately offended in way too personal a way. Different strokes, but when people take shots at my favourite band, I almost like they're taking a swing at me.

    Then I thank God my favourite band isn't Coldplay :lol:

    Great thread. You are correct, they put on an amazing show. Saw them Saturday in Columbus, great fun. Dead Weather. Also the poster who said get in early and see screaming females is also correct, they blew the roof off that place. Such a fun show.
