    There's a metronome in GarageBand.

    The metronome in garage band is hard to use for practice, because its meant to run while you're recording.

    There is a pretty good widget for the dashboard called "metronomic"
    You can get it from apple's website.
    Its very simple and nice because as part of the dashboard, so you can access it really quick (and in that sense is loads better than relying on garageband) plus you can turn it on and then hide the dashboard and the click keeps going.

    Yeah, but the garageband thing...doesn't work independently (or i haven't figured out how to make it work independently) :? .

    i ll check the metronomic widget out...thanks.
