Tron was one of my favorite movies when I was a kid, and I rewatched it last night for the first time in years. There was alot of stuff about the sequel at Comic Con over the weekend that got me interested in seeing it again. Here's the thing, I think The Big Lebowski might have ruined Jeff Bridges career for me. I love the Big Lebowski, it's in my top 5 movies of all time. But Bridges was so good in it, and the character of the dude was so well realized, that whenever I watch a movie with Jeff Bridges, I can't help but think that each movie is just another chapter in the life of the dude. For example, when I was watching Tron all I could think of was "Oh man, I can't believe the dude got sucked into a computer!"

This has to be some kind of record for length of time between original movie and sequel. :?

I really Really REALLY hope they do not screw up the sequel. The first one was awesome and still holds up for being so old. The trailer does look cool.

And at least it is a sequel and not some half-assed remake. I hate the remake trend going on right now.

there's only so much you can do with glow sticks, glow-in-the-dark paint, and motorcycles. Now, the Lawnmower man... that was sweet too.

I was at comic con this year, and this was one of the events that I really wanted to get to (to see the Tron footage) but wasn't able to see.

One cool thing that Disney did was recreate Flynns arcade in downtown San Diego, and had it open up during comic con:

"You're no help," he told the lime. This was unfair. It was only a lime; there was nothing special about it at all. It was doing the best it could.

I used to take acting lessons from Dan Shor. He played "Ram" in Tron.

    Good guy.

Wow! Just saw the trailer. Looks good.

Is that flynn (bridges) who seemingly kills the other guy? I wonder if the plot makes flynn the bad guy now, or his program. Maybe, now that he has money and power, his mind is crooked and just seeks more power. Just a guess. A plot like this would make sense to me. That´s how the real world seems to work at times.
