  • my girlfriend only goes to ball games so she can get dippin' dots! What movie theater chain do you go to, we mainly go to an AMC or an independantly owned one in our neighborhood an they don't sell dots. We'd change theaters to get them!

I love Dippin Dots. They were made/invented in Paducah, KY / Southern Illinois - my home area. A close friend of the family works for them so at family functions/parties he brings dry ice coolers full of bags of every flavor of Dippin Dots - awesome! All you can eat Dippin Dots buffet!!! In Metropolis, IL they have opened a Dippin Dots store/sandwhich shop and I think there are a couple in Nashville too.

Dippin' Dots....the Ice Cream of the future.....for the last 30 years.

Come on now....... 30 is pushing it - 15 maybe! :D

The problem is storage. You can't keep it in a regular freezer. You gotta have these super low temps. I don't know how they expected to market it to the masses.

Invented in 1988, but the company wasn't founded and the mfg. process started until 1995. ;) Isn't this such an enlightened, interesting argument? We obviously aren't very busy today, are we?

On the Wiki page I noticed they mentioned the merger. That is off. Lots of lay-offs too, but hopefully they are streamlining and going to survive. I think they have a new direction too with a coffee company or something.
