Does ANYBODY who owns these albums actually listen to them?! I've really wanted to buy some so that I can put them on my record player and enjoy them. Instead, everyone here just buys them and leaves them in the f*cking plastic! Hence, I can't afford them since everyone thinks they're this super valuable collector's item. I agree with the OP in that regard. What's the point of having them if you're not going to enjoy them? It would be like buying an extra ticket so you can frame the unused stub. It's just dumb and keeps it away from a fan who would actually use it and enjoy it.

i guess everybody has reasons for collecting, but hard to justify it sitting sealed gathering dust. baseball cards cannot be played, but vinyl should be. i have all the LPs except L2L, Lost Dogs, Rearviewmirror and Benny Hall. ITW, binaural and the Drop in the Park are my fav's to spin. can't beat that 180 gram goodness.
