Back in the day I was little punk kid but I still sorta had my head on straight cuz I loved Pearl Jam even then.

I loved them so much that when I saw a Halucinogenic Recipe that I'd never seen before I stuffed it down my pants and tried to walk right out with it.

Well... that day I was more like a Jane's Addiction hit than Gone.

Here's a pic of me on a sad day of my life. : (

A buddy who works in music found this pic of me STILL POSTED to this day in the back room at Rasputin Records in Berkeley.

I'm still not supposed to be allowed in there.

On the real though... I have to give some love to the Berkeley police. On this day they found some Crazy Mary in my backpack and instead of telling my parents and charging me for that too they flushed it down the toilet, didn't say a word and gained a lot of respect from me. I really cleaned up my act after this day, ran for class president at school, got my Eagle Scout and never stole again. In the long run I think this might have been a great day in my life.

Oh... nice get. I think I got you beat tho... Got one of those metal VS heads from a music store. Didn't get caught and still have it. Both this and the other item are non PJ actuals/bootleg knock offs so I don't feel too bad about it. (Rationalizing). I would have got out with the Box if there hadn't been a sensor on the inside. I don't know why Monica got so much credit for my nab. I don't recall her doing anything.

  • G ForceG Force Posts: 1,393
Ah well thanks guys... I swear... I'm hard core. I'd say that picture proves it.

As far as shows go... I'll be at outside lands for sure... cuz I can walk to it. And I have tickets for San Diego... taking a little trip down there for the weekend with my chicken. Other than that... the shows are durring the week and I sorta used all my vacay to go to Maui. So... SD it is. Not sure if there will be any others for me. Chi dates don't work and I've seen em there plenty. Probably will just do SD honestly... However... I have Australia and New Zealand on my radar so don't count me out of going there if and when that happens and if Hawaii ends up happening... I WILL BE THERE. Hopefully that ends up happening AFTER I move to Maui in January.

I want a full report of your travels though Celine.

Cheers! Great to hear from you.

Whatever happened - were you able to get the box set later? That has some great pre PJ EV homemade sounding demos along with a killer cd of Stone instrumentals.

When I was 12 back in 1971 I got cracked with a buddy at a Sears in Illinois with sack full of Abbie Hoffman's "Steal This Book". We had been riding the bus out there after school for months and boosting - mostly Mad books which we would then take to school the next day and pass them out free to the other kids. I always thought they were on to us and let it ride until we went after the Abbie Hoffman. My mom had to come out there to take me home. I was sitting in the River Oaks cop house with my buddy in a brand new Cubs jacket that I stole from the very same Sears store the previous day - she starts shrieking about where I got the jacket, I was able to shut her up before I got busted for that too. We went up before a judge for our ceremonial wrist slap a month later - I was punished at home with a haircut, that was the only way they knew how to punish me back then. But I've got to say that I never took something that wasn't mine or was something that I was supposed to pay for ever again.

Great story about you as a kid. It is crazy how wild we all were when we were invincible.

Celine... won't see me at the rails... not my style anymore. I don't even like being in an elevator with more than 1 person... let alone a million sweaty dudes wiping thier body slime all over me screaming "PLAY DAUGHTER" I'll be cruising around taking it in from a good vantage point. It has a lot of meaning to me to see them play on that field as it is the FIRST place I ever saw them play... and they didn't complete so... this is something coming full circle. Pretty cool.

Maui... Its sort of the plan. Saving money with my girl to buy property and hopefully it happens. I'll keep you in the loop.

Lets definitely get something pre party planned for OSL.

    Cheers.
