Shepherd's bush tickets rip off on gumtree - be careful!!
Just thought I'd write a warning note to those of you still desperate for SBE tickets, as I have just come across something on gumtree. It seems the scammers have really jumped on the band wagon with the whole Shepherd's Bush sold out thing, as there have been a number of posts on gumtree offering 4 tickets for unusually low prices (between £380-£415 for the 4). Sounds too good to be true when you see what they're going for elsewhere.
Anyway, a friend of mine replied to a post and the guy responded that as he was in N. Ireland he preferred to go through ebay, which I thought at first sounded safe. She then gets an invoice sent through from ebay requesting money from Western Union, which is not something ebay promotes at all. Alarm bells were ringing with me and i googled WU scams and got a bit worried! There is an ebay email address you can forward suspect emails to and they verify them (spoof@ebay.com), and you guessed it, we got an email back from them saying it did NOT originate from them and was a fake. At this point luckily my friend had only handed over her name and address but was asked for a WU number. Had she given this the guy would have taken her money and run.
I'm sure most of us are clued up to this kind of shit, but had I not double checked my friend would have lost £400 and been doubly disappointed. Beware guys as this dude has already put the tickets back up on gumtree under various headings and for differing prices.
HATE this kind of advantage taking

There was lots of fake tickets for the Astoria, another reason to stay away from scalpers.
