Lately I have just for the hell of it, just to try something off the wall and ridiculous, I have been putting two things together that dont belong and just trying it out. I have had peanut butter and hummis on a bagel, or hummis and jelly. I have made some pasta, and then cooked some corn and then put sauce on the pasta. then dumped the corn on it.
I have thought of, and havent tried, putting literally my entire dinner together. Like making rice, or something and putting green beans in, putting sauce on and then adding salad to it. That would be interesting.
Or putting hummis on salad, that would be one to try!
my uncle fits the thread title description. But I think alot of people, most people, would be pissed off, maybe even send the food back if you were eating out, or would throw a fit if your mom cooked you some spinach, and on top of that, literally put pasta and sauce.
Its an odd fear, and dislike people have. The food of course is ending up in your stomach no matter how you consume it and it ends up in your stomach all jumbled together.

...what a world! what a world....!!!
my husband makes a sandwich out of everything I cook
comes his young poor days of ketchup sandwiches
as far as just trying odd stuff together, about 15 or so years ago when myself the drummer and bass player in my band all lived in this huge house together and we were broke, we would try different things.
the one i came up with that we kept going back to was peanut butter on rye bread with a slice of cheese, and then put Open Pit BBQ sauce on it. MMMMMMMMM ! every now and then i still get a craving for one of those bad boys.
did i mention we were broke, and .......er... drunk all the time?

My H eats Mayo, Jelly, and Swiss sandwiches. He toasts the bread first too. :geek:
Pickled onion crisps and chocolate.
Bread toasted on one side with cheddar cheese (or cheese slices) and jam.
Toasted marmalade sanwiches dipped in hot chocolate.
Cheddar cheese sandwiches (made with butter) dipped in sweet coffee.

Now me, I prefer it not to touch and mix BUT....I went away a couple of weeks ago and I had scallops wrapped in apple bacon on top of parmeson risotto. There was also grilled asparagus. Then it was all topped with a maple butter. HOLY SHIT!!! It was soooooo good.

i absolutely HAAAAAAAATE when people touch my food! Especially when they reach over to your plate and grab something off it as if i said we were cool and they can do that!
i give people in this thread alot of credit for eating the "masterpieces" they've created!
delicious!

I never understood it as I am from the school of thought that everything gets mixed in with the mashed potatoes.
I like using potato salad as a dip for Wheat Thins.
At Wendy's, I like dipping my fries in my Frosty.
hahaha I used to do that too. pretty nasty now that i think of it
one time i was dared to eat an ice cream sandwich with hot sauce and mustard on it....
