With ripe tomatoes and sweet red onions in season, my favorite summer sandwich is two pieces of whole wheat bread, hellman's mayo, garden fresh tomatoes and sweet red onions. Gets a little messy but damn it's good! Gonna have one later on for lunch!! :geek:

What's your favorite summer sandwich?
Down the street you can hear her scream youre a disgrace
As she slams the door in his drunken face
And now he stands outside
And all the neighbours start to gossip and drool
He cries oh, girl you must be mad,
What happened to the sweet love you and me had?
Against the door he leans and starts a scene,
And his tears fall and burn the garden green

You guys are crazy....and a sandwich has to have some sort of meat in it in order for it to be considered a sandwich or in the very least throw some fucking melted cheese at it or something....tomatoes and onions on whole wheat with Mayo must be one of the most disgusting prospects of a sandwich one could ever muster up ;) ..

    Oh, that sounds good.

I like simple pastrami and smoked cheddar with some spicy mustard and mayo on any bread.

  • Smoked ham, mature cheese, Branston pickle and mayo.

    or

Beef tomatoes, Basil, Pesto and Mozzarella.

    or

Fish fingers with butter and tomato ketchup ( )

Any of the above as long as it's on crusty fresh white bread :D

A good BLT is always yummy...

But I do love tomato sandwiches... Just toast, mayo and tomato slices with a dash of salt on them. For some reason they only taste good with fresh garden tomatoes..

i think my arteries just seized up reading that!

i don't really have a favorite summer sandwich....unless you count a grilled cheeseburger? nothing like a yummy burger straight off the grill, fresh diced onions, melted grated cheddar, hot sauce, good whole grain bun. fantastic!

my mom and sisters all LOVe the tomato sandwich deal...i've never been a big fan. altho i will say tomato, mozzarella and basil on nice foccacia bread sounds pretty damn fine.

i LOVE italian hero - (real heart healthy there ;) haha) and i adore grilled cheese with bacon in the autumn/winter. i am not a huge sandwich eater, have a few i like.....but yea, not many linked to seasons.

i simply LOVE all the fresh produce in summer......fantastic!!!

Favorite summer sandwich has to be somethin from the grill or smoker.

I'm a fan of homemade subway style sandwiches. I gotta have the meat, but the veggies really make a sandwich great.
