Or does the PJ sound infinatley better live in 2003 than 2000, and better live in 2005 than 2003? I dunno, It just seem like their live shows/ boots sound better every time they tour...The best is yet to come!

If you ask me, 2003 was the best sounding bootleg series, followed closely by the 2000 series. Everything after that can be debated.

Unfortunately, due to military service, the first time I saw Pearl Jam was in 2004. Next was in 2008 and I have to admit they are like wine, get better with age.

non album tours for the win.

2000 tour started off great, the euro tour had a few gems but they lost a lot of momentum (understandably so) after roskilde. the us shows had a little bit of a going through the motions feel to them.

the 03 tour was incredible, i thought the band sounded really really good and they played a bunch of shows that fell into instant classic status.

i loved the 05 tour, the setlists were all great. i can't really think of any instant classics on this tour, but every show was way above average. no A+ shows, but i don't think any of those shows could be considered anything less than a B.

i didn't think the 06 tour was all that incredible (for pearl jam standards at least...they did set the bar high)

LOVED the 08 tour...love love loved it.
i have a paper here that entitles me to fast track status

I think 03 was the strongest tour I've seen, playing, setlists, and just overall awesomeness. Been a fan since Yield.

The gorge 05 show was easily an A+ plus show :)

I've always liked them in your order as well, though I know many disagree. I attended some in each tour and the energy they had and the fun they were having during the Canadian tour just came through for me. :)

  • I really like the 2000 boots but the 05 and 06 boots really opended up the vault. Check out 10/03/05 Philapelphia...excellent setlist and show!

08 was the worst sounded boots ever. nothing like taking out the crowd and all or have the guitars be high one second and low the next. kufala using cd-r for a legendary band like pearl jam is very poor business and shows a somewhat lack of not caring by pearl jam. pearl jam got it right in 00 and have gone steadily downhill since then bootleg wise. in cnncerts pj sounds as great as they every have
Ron: I just don't feel like going out tonight

    So was Philly.
  • the 08 boots sucked, but the band was great. a little too many screwups here and there, but when they were on they were on.
