The Arts/Leisure section of this upcoming Sunday's New York Times (which subscribers get a day before) contains a rather large ad on pp. 2-3 for two MSG shows, OCTOBER 29 and OCTOBER 30.

Herein is where the plot thickens:

Performing October 29

Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band
Stevie Wonder
Simon & Garfunkel
Paul Simon
Crosby, Stills, Nash & Friends

Performing October 30

U2
Aretha Franklin
Eric Clapton
Metallica

The ad also includes "Very Special Guests Each Night."

So, let the theorizing begin, but first a few quick impressions of my own.

1. Bono will not be guesting with PJ on 10/30

2. Eric Clapton will not be guesting with PJ on 10/30

3. PJ might be one of the special guests on 10/29, if that date remains open for them

4. Springsteen might make the trip down to Philly on 10/28 and/or 10/30 in between his MSG appearance.

Hmmm...

Here's where the plot REALLY thickens

All those artist that are scheduled to preform are in the hall of fame. pj is not. It be silly for the hall of fame to have pj there when they aren't in the hall of fame yet.

I'm expecting special guest to be artists like sir paul or the who or van halen or aerosmith or billy joel.

I love how people on here always think of pj right away when a lineup has special guest(s) added to it.

I'm not shitting on your theory OP. Its a cool theory but its not happening.
Ron: I just don't feel like going out tonight
    Sammi: Wanna just break up?
