Just wondering if anyone knows what the capacity is for MSG and if we all
have a good chance of getting a ticket??

Im planning my holiday around getting these tickets.
When are they onsale through ticketmaster if we get shut out of 10C??

What was it like in 2003 for getting tickets??

Any info would be appreciated!!

I think capacity is around 20.000. Same as the O2 arena in London (if you've ever been there). Not quite twice as big as Wembley arena and not quite three times as big as The Point! (Just reference points for you!).

Chances of a tix? Pot luck like all the others.

MSG is about 18,000... if you dont get 10c tix, you should be able to get tix when they go onsale through ticketmaster... 2 shows... ur bound to get at least one of them.

    good luck...

if you want to assure yourself a ticket, go for night 1. remember, the infamous July 8, 2003 show was night 1 ... however September 11, 1998 was a night 2 and that one was another one for the ages.

In 2003, I believe that all 10-C members who wanted tickets got them from 10-C. Something crazy like 7-8,000 each night...

Since then, my understanding is Ticketmaster changed its policy and that fan clubs only get something like 10% of all tickets now. Which would mean many fewer 10-Clubbers getting tix.

If you get shut out for the 10c, you shouldn't have any problem getting them through TM.

I've usually gone through the 10c, but my friends have never once been shut out through TM

for nite 1 03 msg, and uniondale I got tix by waiting on line all night, for nite 2 03 msg I walked up to the box office at 4pm 3hrs b4 the show and they had PLENTY of great single seats and some higher up 2 and 3 seaters. I winded up 1st level right over Mike for nite 2 just above the floor... despite the big screen outside saying PEARL JAM TONIGHT-SOLD OUT!
Ive done it at other venues too... I learned not to buy into all this hype and usually arena shows like MSG, and such you have a really good chance of scoring some sick seats even half hour b4 the shows...Ive known people from here that got front row at msg for nite 2 03..at 6:30 pm! So you know being 30 mins away from MSG how IM going to get my tix...again! See you at the box office on the 24th and the 25th ;)
Aah, fuck it, I’m just gonna go home, turn on the fuckin’ TV...
Watch the nightly news and drink a beer...
Like I could even change the world, yeah right...

Good last minute single seats are often available at larger venues.

    Enjoy your front row Stickboy!

while waiting on the 10 club line at Uniondale, someone way ahead of me got their tickets, didn't like their location, walked over to the box office, and bought 3rd row center. I wouldn't have believed it if I wasn't there to see it.

i think 10c reserved something like 9k seats for MSG 2 in 03. I'm pretty sure they are getting more tickets for these 2 shows than they usually do. These are the two shows to be at. I'd put Boston up there if the shows were at the td garden, but PJ shows just aren't as epic when they are outdoors. does that make sense?

Now that TM auctions off their own best seats, I think there will a lot fewer tickets actually. Since the last time TM has gotten more greedy with the tix they withhold and they have reduced the % available to fan clubs so they dont miss out on fees.

    soldier field 95,
    randalls II 96
    state college 03

generally these three are held out as the "epic" PJ performances and they were all outdoors. the constant amongst all three is the big crowd size.
    state college was not outdoors.

MSG2 2003 was better than the first night IMO

The second night had about 8,000 10c members

lol, I wish! 25 shows in and the closest I gotten was kissime 2nd row and that was only cause I walked up. I was actually 30th row, and then a few 4th rows and 7th rows...someday maybe... ;)

As for getting tickets as long as your online at the sale time I think you should be okay despite demand being high. As to how good they'll be is another question. I got them in 2003 and was worried but it worked out okay. Also it's common for shows to be officiallly sold out but a number of tickets to be held back until the day of the show, to reduce scalping I guess. I got tix to several sold out shows in Europe on the 2000 tour. Good luck, should be some great shows.
