That reminds me. Back in 1998 my local radio station was giving away PJ tickets if you could call in and name all the PJ drummers. Well, I called and correctly gave them all the guys (we were up to Jack Irons at that point). He said I was missing one.... so I said,.. "um, are you including Dave Grohl?" He laughed in my face and called me stupid. I told him that Dave WAS drumming for PJ in Australia in 1995. He argued with me on this one. Keep in mind, this radio guy calls himself a die hard fan.
For those interested in how the phone call turned out, I tried again desperately to guess the remaining "drummer". I said, "Well Ed plays drums occasionally. Is that what you mean?" He said no. Turns out there's some additional percussionist credited on the Satan's Bed lyric page (written in scribble). No free tickets for me.... but I was able to get 10c tix in the end and sat in 2nd row.
It says "Jimmy, Drums" in the top right corner of the page in the Vitalogy booklet. I'm not entirely sure, but I think it's Jimmy Flemion from The Frogs. I have no way to corroborate this, however.
it was dave a.'s drum tech, jimmy somethin'.
Wow. They really didn't want to give him more royalties did they?
I had a bootleg cassette sometime around 93/94/95/96 I know it had Fuckin' up on it and Sonic Reducer, but I don't know if it was a compilation or a complete gig, but the thing I remember most was the intro, it was all sound clips of people talking, I want to say they were soundbites from movies or something like that. I got it from a mate, who got it from a mate, who got it from etc, so its possible that it was added in at some point and was not part of the gig, as I have not heard this kind of intro from them before or since but does anyone have and kind of idea??

It was Jimmy Shoaf, dave a's old drum tech. Dave wasn't in the studio at the time it was about 2 or 3 in the morning. Some guys from the band were adding some drum loops and had Jimmy play a beat as well...what you hear is half loop/half jimmy.
Does no one look at www.twofeetthick.com at all? sheesh!
Ah, twofeetthick - where were you in 1998 when I needed you!
