all u dmb haters know what u can do...PJ got horns now...what u gonna do hate PJ
(snooty comeback voice) "no, we're just gonna hate that song"
bring on the HORNS
There are more reasons not to like DMB though.. I could never pinpoint it, but something about them just doesn't really make me want to listen to them more.
the stench of beasters and miller lite that clouds everything associated with them?
miller lite is alot better than PBR i see at pj shows all the time...and now that tim reynolds is back playing electric guitar w/the band idk how u couldnt have fun at a dmb show this summer

And he forgot to mention how the rest of the songs are killer kazoo tunes. Brendan got on this kazoo kick and the rest of the all band went along. You're all going to love it!
xo

Mike also mentioned violins "and other thigns we would never have thought of using before" in another interview I heard today.
There are "string instruments" in Parting ways. Matt's wife played one of them. Seattle 2000 included the string instruments.
Up here so high I start to shake, Up here so high the sky I scrape, I've no fear but for falling down, So look out below I am falling now, Falling down,...not staying down, Could’ve held me up, rather tear me down, Drown in the river
According to mike backspacer includes a song with Horns!!! I feel we;re going to have a really different album on our hands
yeah he mentioned French Horns. Now THAT is "branching out musically." Even though some people around here seem to think that The Fixer is branching out because it's different than most Pearl Jam songs.
mudhoney used horns on "under a billion suns" and that album kicks some serious ass. there's also some pretty punk-as-fuck horns on the stooges "fun house."
if horns are rockin' enough for mudhoney and the stooges, i think we can handle horns on a pj record.
"...Dimitri...He talks to me...'.."The Ghost of Greece..".
"..That's One Happy Fuckin Ghost.."
“..That came up on the Pillow Case...This is for the Greek, With Our Apologies.....”

But they WILL scold you if your opinion differs!
