The Ninth Gate..

I don't know what it is about this movie.. The plots not very good. I just love the atmosphere and style! I could watch it over and over again.. It got shit reviews and most people I've talked to that have seen it think it sucked.

I have a passion for Cliffhanger with Sylvester Stallone. There are so many awesome one liners in that flick.

I actually love that movie too :? :D

I don't generally pay too much attention to whether or not a movie is popular.

Other movies that I love to watch repeatedly are: The Fifth Element, 2 Days in the Valley, Thursday, Quills, Snatch, Fight Club, Immortal Beloved and Lucky Number Slevin.

I don't recall how popular those were when they were released, but I don't care :ugeek:  I watch them every time I come across them on TV (and of course I have them on DVD and watch them at least a few times a year  :D ).

I don't know what it is, but I absolutly love this movie. Sure it can be a bit predictable, but it does a great job of pulling me in and making me believe (as well as laugh my ass off).

Oh, and how could I forget,

    The Mexican

This is one of my favorite movies of all time. This one is one that I really escape into. For me it ranks right up there with Dazed and Confused.

The 9th Gate is a very good atmospheric thriller up until the last 20 minutes. then it just turns to shit. Such a shame.

I have a soft spot for dumb action movies like The Transporter or Commando. Can't beat cheesy one-liners and a complete disregard for physics :D

    The Warriors

something about that gang having to fight all the other gangs to get back to their "turf" got me all jacked up as a kid.

and those guys that wore the baseball uniforms with the painted faces scared the crap outta me when i was a kid. ( maybe even still a bit today )

    My GF HATES the movie.

side note, she did find the orginal soundtrack on vinyl for me a few weeks ago ! that was cool.

Chain Reaction. Anytime I see it on tv I've got to watch. Actually, a lot of Keanu Reeves movies have this effect on me, especially the cheesy action thrillers. Constantine is the same way.

Burn After Reading. I don't know if it was disliked, but I thought it was hilarious and it was the Coen Bros followup to No Country for Old Men and nobody seemed to really have anything to say about. The last scene in that movie cracks me up.
