Been to this many PJ shows: Reading 2006 London 2007 Manchester & London 2009 Dublin, Belfast, London, Nijmegen & Berlin 2010 Manchester 1 & Manchester 2 2012...

... and I still think Drive-By Truckers are better.

  • Well my boyfriend didn't even know PJ was still around till he met me! He saw them once in the 90's. Now he's been to 1 more show and 1 solo show. We are also going to Philly. He in turn got me into Incubus and they are killer, going to see them 8/1.

    i hear that!
i've been married to one for 17 years! 8-) he is actually the first to introduce me to pearl jam. granted, he is not as big a fan as i am now....but you bet, he loves the music....and sure, he has quite the collection of pj ts b/c of me, allows me to fill a room with my pj posters.....totally cool with seeing shows with me, me flying solo, whatever....he understands. and oh yes, sexy bass player to boot.

there are sooooo many cool pj guys out there, happy to call many of em good friends!
and sure, if i were single.....well nevermind.......;)

btw sian - you started this thread at 7:39 am EDT, so yea....most of us were just getting up or on our way to work here on the east coast.....and it was 4:39 am on the west coast! you're timing was simply off for many on the board...

Yet if we focus on a girl's looks we're shallow... life is so unfair :)

Most PJ guys are either married or single for a reason. And the reason for all the PJ girl threads is that those guys that are single for a reason are so socially awkward their last hope for getting a girl is that liking the same band will give them enough common ground to get them laid. ;) Or they're threads created by girls to build a sisterhood of the traveling bands self esteem boost club, hehe.

It's always a plus if a guy loves PJ as much as me but whatever it's not that important for a relationship to work.

Well, I can't speak to the last half of those requirements, but to see there aren't enough PJ boys? Have you seen the guy/girl ratio at a show? They set up a dating website (there's a link on the Porch somewhere) and it's like 75% dudes ;)
  • Dammit. I thought this thread was going to have pictures...

my big H (it sounds cooler when you call your husband "H" - i am finding out) is a "meh" fan...he is good with going to shows, and he listens to them when I do (he says I never give him a chance to choose to listen to PJ) but I don't know if I could call him a PJ Boy...

I mean, it's normal for a man to have a laminated picture of Eddie Vedder under his pillow, right??

the lipstick marks are just...a joke...right??

while it may not make sense, there are plenty of things in this world that don't make sense....and they do exist. including some pj haters. amazingly, i know a couple....but thankfully i most definitely do have a 'pj boy'.....man....my husband, as per my first post in this thread. whew! :P granted, he introduced me to pj so imagine if we never met....not only would i not have my fantastic mr. dream, i might not have discovered pj on my own!
