All That's Sacred: Podcast #10 now up!

To celebrate podcast #10 I implored you to send me song ideas to recreate the album TEN track listing using live tracks culled from the last 19 years -- and boy did you deliver! I’ve been immersed in TEN songs for the last two weeks and listening to a ton of material! Unfortunately, I can’t play all of the awesome suggestions. I did give some preference to songs that had multiple requests. Plus, I accounted for sound quality and flow. I also wanted to make sure that the song selection represented the band’s entire career to date and wasn’t weighted in one time period or tour. And here is the end result. I’m sure some of you might be rolling your eyes at some of these song selections but ultimately I think it turned out pretty well. I hope you enjoy it as well.

Just finished listening to it... Awesome job! Totally didn't expect to hear Master/Slave let alone have Once kick in at the exact right time. It's clear that you worked really hard on getting the overlaps accurate on this. Thanks so much for a great listen!

donny- i am listening right now and i am digging this podcast above even the great ones that have preceded it... and i am honored that my porch suggestion made it! (though i did see a few other people suggested the same version as well)

i know there were a LOT of great versions of porch you had to choose from (unplugged, atlanta, etc.) but i am stoked to hear the alpine 2000 one.... thanks and as always, keep it up man!!

Donny, that is a real beast of a selection. I heard the group played the album in order once during one of the early shows (something they have only ever done once with Ten and once with the last album), listening to them live in order is kind of like being at that show.

Thanks everybody for taking the time to listen and thanks for all the awesome suggestions and feedback. I thought I was giving myself a bit of a break with no commentary on this weeks podcast but I think I worked harder than ever! I got a TON of great suggestions and am saving some to feature on future podcasts.

I have to admit to having a HUGE shit-eating grin on my face when I got that Master/Slave --> Once transition down.

I got a TON of great suggestions for Black and almost went with another selection. But I had a mountain of people suggest the Benaroya version so I gave deference to them to help make the decision easier. Plus, it is an AWESOME track!
