Question - Who is the drummer on the song U?

Quick question - The liner notes on Lost Dogs states that Matt Cameron is the drummer on the song U. I remember getting the cd single back when it came out to get the song, and I think it was before he joined the band. The drumming sounds like it is Jack, especially if you listen closely to the fills. It has always bugged me. Does anyone know for sure? Does anyone care? Thanks

I think the Lost Dogs version was re-recorded with Matt.

it does sound a lot like Jack, and I thought it was a no code outtake. I really don't think this is MC

To me, the hi-hat sounds open and the overall pounding the drums are taking just sounds like it is the style of Jack. Could they have made a mistake? Just curious to see what people think.

I don't think it was completely re-recorded. I believe it was just the drumming that was re-done then replaced the drums on the already recorded track.

If this is true...I don't get why they'd bother doing this? The Jack version sounds great.

Don't the lyrics differ between the original single version and the Lost Dogs version?

Maybe they finished up watching the Special Edition of Star Wars and thought they could "fix it".

is there any hard evidence that they re-recorded the drums, because i don't believe they did.

it's jack, and it's a mistake in the liner notes.

    they are differant.

it's the same exact drum track, remixed. not re-recorded.

    it's jack. both times.

no need to discuss any further. ;)

there isn't any difference, other than the mixing.

the original is on the wishlist single - which i just listened to.

    same drumtrack, two different mixes.

    Alright, changing songs...

What about "I Got Shit" on the Rearview Mirror greatest hits disc. Is that Matt? I'm almost positive it has been re-recorded.
