Radio Exposure

So I've been reading some threads where people have been keeping tabs of what stations are playing The Fixer so far. I think it's pretty neat to see reports come in from across the nation (the States) and world about new PJ being played in people's local markets. Thankfully, because of technology and webcasts/streaming music, I've even been able to catch some of the premiers that people have posted.
I have a question though because I don't listen to the radio any more. The question is this:
Do radio stations (and/or DJ's) get this excited/promotional about the debuts and premiers of singles by other bands too? Or is this something unique to PJ?
The reason I ask is because when I've heard a stream (or replay of a stream) of a new PJ song being premiered the DJ's all sound completely and genuinely amped to be playing it. Do these same DJ's get excited about the latest Slipknot, or Nickelback, or whoever else single too? Or are they just adopting an excited voice to market the thing?
Curious to hear peoples takes on this...

As an outside observer... Interesting...
I have a question for you: How did you learn to speak French, in Russian??
It is in my DNA... Much as is blood that smells like cologne.
