here often, but I do read here often.

I have been a PJ fan since about 1994, and seen my share of shows. I literally can't believe people's attitude here in the last few months. The whole ticket thing, Target, "The Fixer"...and countless others. Please stop all the complaining. You guys are killing the enjoyment the rest of us are trying to have with all the new stuff coming up. Hell, I live in the south and PJ has not come anywhere close to me in what 5 years? I may not like it, but PJ didnt start their band to appease me and my demands alone.

They are who they are, and if you have not come to accept PJ as they are, then stop listening to them. The thing I have learned about them, in general terms, is that they will always do things a little different than you expect them to and their new music is never what you thought you would get.

However, I can honestly say that I enjoy all their albums, and most other stuff I've heard along the way. The new stuff has an excellent vibe in my opinion, and I can't wait to here the rest.

I agree. If you don't like something, you have the right to say something but it seems that there is too much complaining and whining going on. I'm just happy on going to see them in philly and a new CD is coming out. I'm good for a year! :D

I don't know what you're talking about. I never see people complain here. I see people airing reasonable grievances here and there which upsets the fanboys but never any real complaining.

Are you serious? Look, I didn't care for the last cd that much and I may have shared my opinion of that cd here briefly. I did not come on here to say that PJ was selling out, losing there edge, etc...

Saying you don't care for something is fine, but the personal attacks on the members of the band are totally uncalled for.
  • it really bugs me when people like stuff. maybe i'll go start another thread because i really give a rat's ass what other people think of stuff i dont like.

Well I'm half-serious. I do understand that people are just perpetual whiners, but I think a lot of people have legitimate gripes. I mean, $90 for a ticket is very expensive compared to what their contemporaries like Radiohead and Green Day charge....and more than twice what a ticket cost to the 2003 tour. More often that not, I see people posting their gripes about this WITHOUT using terms like "Sell-outs" or making personal attacks on the band. But some fanboy apologist will say something like "Well the band has families!!" and of course that sort of logic is gonna start a shit storm.

I agree. Too many know it all Me-sters who seem compelled to rudely force their points of view using insults and personal attacks. Nice to post and discuss perspectives with mature reasonable folks like those that have posted here. Hope you will stick around.

Totally agree. :) But it is a message board so those threads are inevitable. :( Also agree with MrSmith, although it is hard at times to deal with the plethora of negative threads. :)

It is unbelievable the amount of negativity on the boards. How many bands have been around this long, still tour (not arenas), still put out great music, and show love for their fans? Not many that I can name. I consider myself lucky to see them almost every year.New music and a tour- how much better can it get for us as fans?

dude it's the internet...sometimes i actually get a laugh out some of the less-than-perfect criticism and sometimes i even start to question my own sheep like views, by reading great criticisms.

we're all fans who paid our $20, regardless of anything else.

skip the stuff you don't like and/or flame away on the dude that deserves it. nuttin wrong with any of it. imo

some days i'd rather read a bunch of negatives than a bunch of sheep who just chat about how great eddie's hair is...

  • OK Ed's hair, and the $90 a ticket thing.

First of, no sheep here thinkinh about Ed'd hair when listening to the new music. Sorry, don't know where you are coming from on that one.

$90/ticket, on the surface seems expensive, however, if there were no 10 club and you were forced to get the same quality ticket aftermarket, you would pay a lot more $$$ for the aftermarket. I personally don't mind paying $90 for a ticket that the the general public has no chance at, and if I get that ticket I know it is a quality seat.
