*The 'Play Rod Laver - Melb with the roof OPEN' thread

Maybe it was just a passing comment back in 06 but EV did mention he would like to play here with the roof open. So I have been hanging out for this and I think its time to spark a bit of interest in it. Maybe not night 1, more like the 3rd night.
About 10 years ago we had a basketball match (tigers v magic I think?) at rod laver at night with roof open, and it was an awesome atmosphere... What do you think??

    Ed first made a comment back in 95 during the Triple J live show that there was a full moon and that they should open the roof, but this will never happen because of the noise I think.

    Oh well, I still like the idea... Surely it would sound no worse than a stadium concert...
