NEEDS FIXIN........... Here's hoping the rest of the album is nothing like this.... Rolling stone writer who said Eddie traded his "OH OH OH's" on unemployable for "YEAH, YEAH, YEAH's" on THE FIXER is dead on. This is song writing at it's worst. I know i'll take some flack for this cause really who am i to judge. But this is one unhappy Pearl Jam fan at the moment. Here's hoping to something better down the road........... I am in disbelief. All this talk of corporate selling out and Pearl Jam losing their edge might have some truth to it........... I honestly don't know if this song could ever grow on me as some Pearl Jam songs on first listen that i was'nt into have before.

    The single was just released yesterday. I hardly thing i am digging up old dirt. It's clearly a topic of the moment. Perhaps you cannot be critical of one of your favourite bands and If Eddie Vedder ran over your dog in a drunken rage you would forgive him. Cause Eddie and Pearl Jam could do no wrong in your eyes. I on the other hand love the band but can say when they have done something shit.... The album is not even out and this is the first single. There should be a million more threads on this and a million more to come my friend. Get ready and get used to it.... Maybe you have already moved on and have started thinking about the first single from the next album after backspacer.. If it's as campy as THE FIXER, maybe we should tell them not to bother.... Brother!!!

    I cannot tell if you are being sarcastic or not..... I'm leaning towards sarcastic... This is a forum on the Pearl Jam site. If there is anywhere in the world where things of that nature were to be discussed it would be here? No? Whether they be minute by minute. Month by month. Tell you what.     Where have I said/written that that Ed and PJ can`t do no wrong? They have several songs that I don`t like.
    Nothing to do about being critical, but i don`t think we need 100 threads about the same thing.

    Here's the truth. Just home from work. Listen to the song on the net for the first time. Had to rush and share my frustration with the single to the entire Pearl Jam community. Before even considering looking for other threads dealing with this same topic. Im sure many a thread has been re-hashed and done before on here. The fact that this is so new, current and obviously a point of discussion, i don't think anyone should be surprised and or annoyed that it is being talked about in a few different threads.
