Hate the haters... Join in...
I am sick of the hate about everything PJ does. Some people in this fan club, and on this board need to lock themselves in a dark room, and listen to Alive and Betterman on repeat for the rest of their lives, and never contribute to this community again. Let's celebrate the fact that the greatest band of our generation has the ability to evolve and make new music. Maybe the haters are all just closet Creed fans that need to hear the same thing over and over again.

How about we stop whining about whining, and start ignoring the whining?0

I like the vibe of the new songs.. I'm totally getting the new wave style... I kind of hear The Cure in The Fixer mixed with Let My Love Open The Door.Post edited by LikeAnOcean on0

I agree with this very much.0 -
i just hope the members of Pearl Jam don't read this board. i don't know, some of the "so called" fans that post here are just...excuse me...ungrateful bastards. i, for one, am just happy that this band is still around playing new music. i enjoy the journey they take me on. it's the soundtrack to my life.I died. I died and you just stood there. I died and you watched. I died and you walked by and said no. I'm dead.0

I agree with you 100%. see you this October. Hope all is well my friend0 -
I could not agree more!0

The Fixer... great song... Backspacer... great album... no matter what it sounds like.0

I agree, I think people are allow to give their opinions, but there's to much disrespect to the band on this board.
I remember people bitchin to the band for making political songs or anti-bush songs...and now we have a good, fun, enjoyable new song and for some people it's "so corny and boring" ...i just don't get it.
Anyway "The Fixer" is a simple concept of a song (a la Wishlist) with great vibe, energy and a crowd singalong...not bad to me!!

I was about to type this exact message myself.
I agree with what the pm said, though maybe not as "tastefully" as he put it, but the general idea is there. I remember when Avocado came out, that was the 2nd PJ album that came out since I had become a fan (I'm only 20), and hearing Got Some and The Fixer, both of which I really am liking (my computer probably would hate me if it had a brain, the amount those 2 songs have been played in the past 2 months), but just hearing new music from the best band in the world is exciting, and you can hear an evolution in the style the band has, and I really like it.0 -

If you think it's a bad song, you're entitled to say it and that doesn't make you an ungrateful bastard.2000: Camden 1, 2003: Philly, State College, Camden 1, MSG 2, Hershey, 2004: Reading, 2005: Philly, 2006: Camden 1, 2, East Rutherford 1, 2007: Lollapalooza, 2008: Camden 1, Washington D.C., MSG 1, 2, 2009: Philly 1, 2, 3, 4, 2010: Bristol, MSG 2, 2011: PJ20 1, 2, 2012: Made In America, 2013: Brooklyn 2, Philly 2, 2014: Denver, 2015: Global Citizen Festival, 2016: Philly 2, Fenway 1, 2018: Fenway 1, 2, 2021: Sea. i wasn't talking about the song, i was talking about all of the other things that go on here. i'm glad that i don't know a lot of of people here because there are too many jerkoffs.I died. I died and you just stood there. I died and you watched. I died and you walked by and said no. I'm dead.0 -

I agree. Everyone's entitled to voice their opinion but folks around here are often unable to be objective about a point of view. What I am tired of are all the assholes who think it's cool to disrespect other people's opinions and make smart ass, negative remarks. They act like they're in fucking high school or something.
People used to be able to communicate on here, even if they didn't have the same point of view. Now there seems to be people who spend their time just trying to piss people off and slam opinions than their own. They're not being cool at all, just extreme and negative.
