no more snippets and singles for me getting played out before the album even comes out... i heard "got some" about 5 times, and have completely avoided the fixer...

i will do my best to avoid all things backspacer until it arrives in my mailbox

who else is with me?

    Nah, I'll listen to Got Some and Fixer and anything else that sees offical release or a live performance....but I don't download leaks.

    it's not really a concious choice per se, but more than likely...i'll be the same. i am just not one to listen to music on my computer, and i certainly don't want that to be my first listen. i heard got some on conan and that's it. if i manage to catch any new tunes on the radio, that's cool.....tho quite unlikely as i don't listen to radio much....so yea....i'm all for 'discovering' the bulk of it when i finally get that new CD in my hands!

    I don't know how I will go about it. I definitely no longer download leaked songs, and usually limit myself to just the official released songs. But maybe this time I will just try and hold out. I listened to The Fixer one time, but myspace doesn't offer the absolute best sound, so I won't be going back there again. Perhaps I will catch it on the radio, and that would be ok.

    seriously, why play out a new single before you even hear the new album? i am pretty confident there are people out there that have heard the fixer 30 times already this morning, and backspacer isnt coming out for another 2 months... doesn't that sort of ruin the album and album experience a little bit for you?

    i heard the leaks from avocado, listened to them alot, then when the album arrived i had already heard half of it 50 times. it sucked to do that to myself, so no more singles or leaks for me :ugeek:

    not if i dont listen to the radio... there are only 3 rock stations in the philly area that will play it... so i dont think this will be that difficult at all

    as i said, it's not like i will purposely avoid it, but yea...if you don't listen to radio much, it's a pretty easy thing to do. and yea, i don't do myspace, facebook, twittering, leaks, etc.....so yea....listening online is just not how i do new music.

    No she already thinks I am a huge freaking dork for wanting to see a band 10 times a year, and even having a profile on this board. AND... we are talking about a girl with no myspace, no facebook, who can barely put an attachment on an email. And she is mine!
