....songs like Black, Present Tense...Hell, I guess Inside Job is the closest in a long time....don't know...change can be good...this just seems lackluster.

Yes, Inside Job is the closest in a long time.

It's on their most recent release.

Change is change.. I don't love it, but I find it enjoyable, except for Ed's seemingly inability to enunciate.. I'll write that off to the quality on the Myspace site though for now, and hope it's helped by a proper release. Having heard The End, Unthought Known, Got Some, Speed of Sound, and now this - I think this is going to be a solid album. This and Unthought Known are my least favourites at this point, but every album has flaws - these flaws are perfectly listenable though!

Very real......remember the time of the album....it is not filled with epics....oh and there is no silent 'e' on Clark.

clarke can spell his name however the hell he wants!

judging whether there will be an "epic" on the time of the album.....you're aware yield was only a few minutes longer right?

None of those songs are singles dude. Singles pretty much can't be "epic" due to time restraints, except for Strawberry Fields Forever I guess.

Wait until you hear "The End". I think that one qualifies as one of the greats.

+1. I was telling a friend - I sincerely think it's the most beautiful thing Eddie's ever written.

Yep. Can't wait to hear the full band version though. I am sure it will be different.
