I am certain that there are at least more than TEN PJ fans who can assist me.

I've been online, asked a good friend with main frame expertise, and another buddy who is a supposed "PC expert" try to help.. no luck...

all hardware is initialized, Linksys Wireless Router and the USB Plug In...

The same message keeps coming up when I try to connect wirelessly.. Acquiring Network Address

I dunno.. just a dummasss kansan.. (attempting to acquire cheap assistance!!)

Wireless Netowrk Connection Status (Support Tab)

Address Type: Invalid IP Address

IP Address: 0.0.0.0

Subnet Mask: 0.0.0.0

Default Gateway: blank, no value
Down the street you can hear her scream youre a disgrace
As she slams the door in his drunken face
And now he stands outside
And all the neighbours start to gossip and drool
He cries oh, girl you must be mad,
What happened to the sweet love you and me had?
Against the door he leans and starts a scene,
And his tears fall and burn the garden green

Man, I'm probably not the best person to ask. I've set our wireless up twice but it can be confusing as hell.

I don't remember exactly what to do, and I don't have Linksys so it might not help at all.

First, if i remember right, you have to access the page, by going to the URL 192.168.2.1 on the main computer. [the last number might be .2] Mess with it from there. If you still can't get it, try calling customer support, they helped me a ton my first time. Good luck!

Did you call the helpline? If you're plugged into it directly it shouldn't be acquiring an address. You should be able to access the IP given in the previous post so you can set up your network. Then you can disconnect and get an IP.....It's hard to help in the forum setting.

  • Is there a MAC address filter enabled in the wireless router?
Is the modem a wireless modem/router? Or do you have a seperate modem?

Because I will probably only be of help with a combined modem/router. This is how I have mine set up. Wireless networks are easy but at times they can be a fair pain.
