How can a thread have more posts than views?

"What listening to at this very moment?" thread has 25405 replies, but only 3527 views.

How is this possible?
Does this affect the space/time continuum?
Are UFO's involved, and if so, why?

    it would have happened on the move from the old board, the replies came over, but the views didn't
