Is it possible to sell your ten club number?

Not that I am going to do this, but I heard about something like this on ebay a while back?
What is the rule on this?

    I don't think so - though I imagine auctioning off an older # for charity is something they might of thought about.

    My wife is # 195,xxx but we haven't used her # since the Binaural tour since my # gets much better seats. If someone from the PJ camp wants to get in touch with me we would probably allow the # be auctioned off to charity.
