Has anyone heard Wash anywhere in the set list other then opener? I don't feel like looking through all the set lists. It sucks cause i feel like you only get it as an opener or nothing! after song 1 you know your not going to get it....

What other songs do you view as only openers?

I clicked a few random sets with Wash and found these, in the encore ...

So, always hold out a little hope for an encore appearance.

  • At one of the Melbourne shows in 06 it was on the set list as the first song of the second encore but replaced with Leash, it can happen. That being said I have seen it live twice and both were openers.

Most songs that people consider openers now, at one time were not.... Release, Oceans, etc. Release was played at the end of a show recently (bonaroo). I saw the re-debut of wash at Pittsburgh in 2000 near the end of the show. I've heard wash at 5/8 shows it has been played since 2000, and get pissed when a show opens with it. I now how you feel when you don't hear that song to open a show. I've been waiting 35 shows to hear Oceans, and every show it is more of a let down. I think I would enjoy PJ shows more if I can just hear it once. Release is an amazing song, but I don't enjoy it because I was hoping for oceans.

    Oceans in Toronto....
