What does that mean?

If you swallow the truth, meaning you dont speak the truth, then how is that keeping you from lieing????

    Maybe something like internalize the truth???? So, one can't lie anymore.

    I see it as swallowing the truth means you're engulfing yourself in truth. (It consumes you)

    Swallowing the truth is keeping him from lieing, which follows the trend of the entire song.

    Here is a really different way to think about it...

    The Bread of Life is the Word of God which is also referred to as the Truth.

    When you read it, you consume it.

    Satan is referred to as the "Father of Lies".

    So maybe by consuming the Word of God, you can see through the lies of evil.

    Kinda trippy, huh? :shock:
    Its just the way my mind works! lol :lol:

    If you don't speak, you can't tell a lie. So, you don't answer a question or don't say how you really feel and therefore you've not lied to anyone (other than yourself).

    This song is about taking a hard drug trip. That being said, "swallowing the truth" is the drug this "person" is taking.
