Impatience: I bet it cost many of you tickets yesterday.

At 5pm (EST) yesterday I tried to get tickets for the philly show. In the span of 6 minutes I was 1) kicked to the “splash page”, 2) told the server was down, and 3) even give a “PROXY” error (when I just hit the “buy” button).

All three situation happened several times during the course of those 6 minutes. But each time, I just calmly hit the “back” button on my browser and started the process where it left off before the error and, eventually, I was able to land tickets.

Please… don’t take this post the wrong way: I’m not gloating about getting tickets.

I just can’t help but think, after reading SO MANY POST about the “problem with tickets”, that some of you probably missed out on tickets because of your own impatience… even panic.

Granted, the servers that keep this site up and running has it’s flaws. But what do you expect. The 10Club does the best it can with what it has. Would you rather them up the membership to say 50 (or even higher) so they could purchase more space on the server just to accommodate the "pressure" put on the servers during ticket sales? Tickets sales that only effect you once, twice a year. I for one don’t.

Tickets or no tickets I greatly appreciate what the 10Club tries to do pertaining to tickets for its members.

    It wasn't impatience that cost me my tickets but rather the fact that I had a VERY small window of time set aside that I could stop working to try and get these tickets.
    When the servers didn't work, etc - I missed out on my chance because I had to go back to work....

    That's why I am bummed.

    I tried repeatedly for an hour and 15 minutes before I absolutely had to bolt. No impatience there. Even when the website showed me I had tickets in my cart, with a "Continue" button...

    and upon hitting "Continue"...

    "We're sorry. It appears your session has timed out or your browser does not accept cookies."

    Hrm... can still see my order history and profile info, so my session isn't timed out.

    Hrm... browswer accepts the cookies test.

    Hrm... lies? Damned lies? Lame server?

    I still tried for 30 minutes after that emotional skullraping. *shrugs*
