I'll make this quick.

I sent in a favor asking anyone on here if they had 2 extra tickets for the DC show; i wanted to take my 13 year old daughter to her first show and missed my chance at getting my own tickets.

Anyway, I met this dude in line on Sunday and was explaining how hard of a time it was for me to get tickets and how this was a last minute decision and how my daughter had to cancel a huge slumber party we had planned and all this. She was so excited and has been wanting ti see them forever. How cool was it that she travelled from Ohio to DC for her first show?

Anyway, we agreed on face value as he couldn't go any way. He brings me the tickets, and gave them to me for cab fair!! That is right, he handed me GREAT PJ seats for 20 bucks and said, in this day and age, it is nice for nice things to happen to good people, and he wished my daughter well and a good time and left? My daughter loved it and is even more obsessed now and wanting to go to Hartford, God love her!!

My wife and were stunned and left speachless. I guess there still are good peeps in the world and it is nice to know they are PJ fans. God Bless you man, and I hope I can repay you someday!!

I tried to pay it forward, the couple sitting next to me only had 8 bucks cash and I tried to give them some cash to buy themselves some grub before PJ came on, but they said "no thanks, but way to pay it forward.."

Yes, it was way over and above! There was a whole conversation where I was trying to give him the full amount, but he just honestly from the goodness of his heart wanted to do his part in making my daughters first PJ trip that much more memorable.

OMG! What a great story!! :) That is wonderful to hear, especially since all that is usually posted on the Porch is whining and bitching! Glad you and your daughter had fun, and as someone said, pay it forward! :)

I had tickets to see My Morning Jacket on the 20th at Radio City Music Hall, but decided, of corse, to opt for Pearl Jam in Camden. So I handed my MMJ tickets over to a fan for nothing at all. Those were a tough ticket to get too. I'm just happy that someone who would really enjoy the show and couldnt find a ticket anywhere got to go.
