well said. they do us all justice by seating us according to seniority. tickets should be first come first serve for all members. then you are seated accoringly. it's actually a very good process they have, I just wish they had 10,000 more Tenclub tickets for each show!
to be honest a lottery would have the exact same results as all of us getting online and trying to purchase. you'd have 50,000 people in a lottery for 2500 or 5000 seats. different people, same results.
other bands do it much better. Dave Matthews has a "ticket request" period that lasts like a week. You just put your request in and you get tickets. very simple. I know they play much larger venues than PJ, but we're not at the mercy of the 10 club servers or internet connection, website crashes, etc.
I know it's kind of old school, but it works.

I believe that if everyone is treated the same and all have that chance to score 10c tickets, YET there's a good chance some may be shut out completely, that it makes sense to LIMIT 10c tickets to 1 show, when there's multiple shows in one city. Let everyone have that chance to score 10 tickets, at least once!
That was kinda like this huge guy (wearing a tye-dye shirt, ill never forget) at the show in Tampa last year. He was in line for a poster and demanded he get his first as he pushed his way to the front of the merch stand as he had 'been to over 100 shows and had a poster for each one'... Were all fans here people and all deserve the same same opportunity

Dave Mathews has WAY more demand than Pearl Jam does, therefore they can demand more tickets. I have no idea why people keep bringing Dave up.
people who have been in the fanclub longer should be able to get tickets before those who have not been in as long. thats fair
I've bought a Hershey every day for the past two weeks, but some guy came in and bought the last one right in front of me this morning. He should have to give it to me.
Sorry, you're wrong. We all pay the same $20.

The nice side of me agrees that everyone in the 10c should get a chance to be up close and personal. However, the selfish side of me says I've been in the 10c for many many moons, religiously paying my annual dues, and therefore deserve the seats I've waited all this time for. Hence the seniority...however, I do fully agree with the rows 1-2 and 9-10 lottery. My 6th to 8th row seats are just fine! 116xxx
everybody has an equal shot with the current system-and thats fair-lottery-who the heck knows exactly how tix are distributed? I prefer a more transparent method
although I will say that it might have been a good idea to limit the philly shows to one per member so that more
people could have scored tix
strange they limited the LA shows, which slowly sold out, but philly was a free for all

Seriously? I thought the total opposite when I saw the original post, that the demand would be lower thus not enough demand to worry about people not getting tickets.
as a young 20-something, just because i was barely out of diapers while you were barely out of college doesn't mean you deserve more than me. i was just born years too late to join. in fact...now that i think about it the younger fans should get better seats because we missed out on some very important years. now you're just being selfish.

Im twenty years old and was unaware of music in general when the older fans signed up for this club. I pay 20 bucks like everyone else so why should I be punished for my age when I go through the same process as the rest. Seniority already gets you better seats then me, I should at least be given the CHANCE (no luck for Ed solo) to get a ticket.
I am one of the few who actually will have worse seats due to rows 1&2 being random (2006 i was consistently in row 2) So with that being said, i think the system they have now implemented with rows 1,2 9 and 10 being random gives every member an equal chance for the best seats is fair, and it continues to recognize seniority for those of us who have been devoted and loyal enough to pay the membership dues since 1993.
I dont think seniority should matter they should divide it evenly your punishing people who might not have had money when they were kids and If your a new fan why bother joining the ten club if the main thing its good for is tickets and the ones you get still are never that good.

your $20 is no better than anyone else's
"I don't believe in damn curses. Wake up the damn Bambino and have me face him. Maybe I'll drill him in the ass." --- Pedro Martinez
I'm glad that tickets didn't go to someone who has an attitude like this...
Sammi: Wanna just break up?
far too much of an administrative hassle.

that too.
when I miss tickets... this shit is fucked up.
The Sentence Above Is False
Ed Ved Solo:
4-10-08 / 4-12-08 / 4-13-08 / 8-16-08 / 6-11-09 / 6-12-09 / 6-14-09 / 6-25-11
It Makes Much More Sense.........To Live in the Present Tense.
